Alfie is a male 10 months old Border Collie. He is black and white with a bald face. Although Alfie can be a bit shy, he has a very sweet demeanor. He is quite affectionate. He loves attention, adores being scratched on his back, and enjoys tummy rubs. Alfie likes to play with the other dogs and has no fear of the older fosters in our program. He is starting to learn manners, and he is walking decently now on a leash. Alfie wants to please, so he should be easy to train. Alfie could use some additional leash work and needs obedience training. He has not been taught any manners.
Alfie's adopters must be committed to work with the destruction and energy associated with raising a puppy, along with housebreaking accidents. His adopter is going to need to start at square one as he is probably not housebroken nor has he been obedience trained. As with all puppies, socialization and puppy obedience classes are a must. This will ensure that you will have an outgoing, socialized, well behaved, and well adjusted adult dog in your family.
