BAILEY
Bailey
Please Note: This dog is a courtesy listing and is not part of BCIN's program. If you are interested in Bailey, please contact John Crawford at (858) 775-3110 or Grilling247@gmail.com. BCIN provides this service to help owners who must re-home their dog. Please be advised that BCIN has not evaluated nor tested the temperament of any of the dogs that are courtesy listed on our website.

Bailey was rescued from a shelter and she is estimated to be about 3 years old and was spayed, chipped and has all current vaccinations. Our family really loves her but she is allergic to something in our home or yard and our daughter appears to be allergic to her.

We are seeking an adoption by someone who is very active during the day (a runner would be great) so she can get the exercise she needs. Ideally, she would have the opportunity to work stock on a ranch to give her the mental and physical stimulation the breed deserves.

She is a Border Collie / Australian Shepherd mix (mostly Border Collie). She is super friendly with all people and with all dogs we have met, is house broken and crate trained. She does great in the car. She walks well on the leash until she sees another dog, then gets super excited to go meet them and then tugs a lot but is making progress in improving her leash training. She loves people so much and usually lays at their feet with her belly up to get a tummy scratch.

Being of a herding breed, she shows extremely strong herding traits at the dog park. She has a blast running her heart out to keep all her park friends together which can often make their owners a little frustrated when they are trying to play fetch or allow their dogs to run freely. Bailey does not have any interest in getting the ball but goes all out to cut off the retriever or run ahead of them to keep them in check. She has had virtually no training aside from "sit" and "come" but those do not work well in a setting with other dogs or a lot of activity catching her eye. She is very intelligent and aims to please so we think she is very likely to respond well to good training.

We are requesting a rehoming fee of $200.00 and have her crate, favorite toys, leash, harness, supplies, etc. for sale as well. We have asked anyone interested in an adoption to complete our application HERE.
