Deanie is a five year old female MACH2 Agility dog.
Deanie loves everyone and likes to lick feet and necks. She enjoys competing in Agility and can learn to run with a different handler once they get to know each other. She knows all her basic commands with a number of tricks to keep her mind occupied. She walks on a leash nicely except when excited by the appearance of a squirrel or other small creature. She would love a home where she could continue to train and compete in agility.
Deanie needs a home with no other pets. She is a serious resource guarder, and if challenged by another dog she will attack. She readily goes into her crate and considers her crate a resource to be guarded from other pets. She does not guard with humans, however, she has not been tested with children so it is not recommended she be placed in a home with small children. Deanie does not like cats.
Deanie likes to be outside and watch over the place. If she has enough room she is quite content just hanging out. She is not a typical high drive border collie but she does enjoy training and competing at a high level, but not over the top. She loves the water and has done some dock diving.
