Diego was found running in Temecula Valley hills, scared as he appeared to have had no contact with people. He was not feral but just unsocial. He was about 9 months old and submitted immediately. Thank goodness that he did, because he also had a collar embedded in his neck. Diego let us cut it off him without any problem whatsoever.
Diego has been vetted completely, neutered, chipped and up to date on shots. He has had some obedience work, but is so full of energy, it lasts about 2 seconds and he is off running. He does bond every well with his human, and gets along with other dogs. He is currently kenneled with a Husky male.
Problem: Diego, when not with his person, will jump a six foot fence, even with barbed wire, to get to his person. He would make a good service dog if his energy could be harnessed, per trainer. We do not have the money for that training.
