EMMALEE

Emmalee is a drop dead gorgeous 2 to 3 year-old female red merle purebred Australian Shephard with unusually colored blue and amber eyes. She is as smart as a whip, and she now knows basic obedience...sit, shake, lay down (we are still working on stay and jumping on people). She walks well on a leash and rides well in a car.
Although Emmalee is a strong-willed red head and needs a person who has had previous Aussie experience to be her alpha, she so wants to please you and is very affectionate. Emmalee is an upper level female on the dominance scale. She is choosy as to which dogs she likes, and would be best placed as an only dog. However, she does like my male BC quite a bit and really enjoys playing with him.
She does not respect a 5' fence, so fencing needs to be at least 5 ½ - 6 feet tall. Emma requires regular activity in her life and would be best placed in an active home or one that is involved with dog sports. She self-entertains and is toy motivated. She cannot be placed in a home with small animals as she is VERY bothered by cats and other small dogs, and goes nuts when she see squirrels. She's been around older children and is so excited to meet them when we are out walking. Emma is also quite exuberant and a bit leash aggressive when she sees other dogs, so an obedience class to better socialize her in public is a must.
Emma is crate-trained and she is housebroken. She also has decent recall and appears to be a bit of a water baby. When she is bathed and also when the garden is watered, she wants to play with the water. Emma is a wonderful dog, and as is typical with Aussies, she wants to forge a close bond with her human.
