Meet Felix. Felix is a year old male BC mix that is black and white with a docked tail. Our best guess is that he is mixed with Aussie and/or Spaniel. Felix is a higher energy dog and he will require a very active home with a person who is an avid every day runner or a hiker. This is not a dog that would be happy in the backyard and not your average couch potato.
Felix is strong on the leash but is eager to please and his foster home is working with him on more leash training. He appears to be housebroken, as has had no accidents in the house. He exhibits typical herding breed attitude in that Felix wants to be partnered with his person and forge a close bond with them; he will just want to be with you all the time.
This is a dog that cannot be placed in a home with cats, birds or other pocket pets. He is OK with older kids, but too rambunctious with smaller ones that could be knocked down by him. Felix needs a Border Collie or Aussie person who knows the breed and can spend time with him. Felix is learning to play fetch and will bring the ball back.
Felix is good with other dogs, but can be a bit choosy with other males. He also can be a bit possessive of his person. He might be best as only dog or placed with a female. Felix is a good dog for the person who is willing to invest the time and energy in him to keep him balanced.
