 |
Fiona is an adorable 12 to 18 month-old female split-face black & white semi-rough coat Border Collie. Fiona is a typical youngster, as she would rather play than learn her lessons. Her personality is still very puppy-like, and her activity level reflects her age. An obedience class would be in order for her to learn better manners and recall. Fiona requires a dog savvy owner who will be consistent with her training.
She walks well on a leash, and is easily corrected if she pulls too hard. She enjoys going for rides in the car. Fiona is bothered by pocket pets, especially squirrels. She has not been evaluated with cats, so at this time, a home without cats is recommended. Fiona can be a dominant female, so opposite gender placement is highly recommended. She plays well with some of the females in my pack, however, she challenges some of the others. She also could be adopted as an only dog. Fiona has been around older children without a problem. She is crate trained and never has had a potty accident in the crate, even when asked to "hold it" for long periods of time. I assume she is either housebroken or can easily learn (crate training without potty accidents is 75% there). She does not appear to be a barker. Fiona really wants to please, but because of her age, gets a bit distracted.
Fiona is being fostered in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. |
