FLOWER
| |
 |
Flower is a 7-month-old purebred Border Collie. A "redhead" with a semi rough coat. She should mature at 30-35 pounds. She has tulip ears which her foster mom finds adorable, yet her piercing amber gaze belies this beauty's true colors.
Flower gets along with all the dogs with one exception...she guards food/treats/toys. She is a very strong personality. She has been very interested with the livestock at feeding time. The quarantine dogs get a tiny glimpse of the sheep and goats. She would probably not be good with cats.
Flower is anything but BC lite. She needs a handler with experience working with a strong-willed BC. Being female, she can quickly learn to work her charms and gain the upper hand.
Adopters must be committed to work with the destruction and energy associated with raising a puppy, along with housebreaking accidents. As with all puppies, socialization and puppy obedience classes are a must. This will ensure that you will have an outgoing, socialized, well behaved, and well adjusted adult dog in your family. In addition to our adoption application, an extensive puppy questionnaire is required to ensure we make the best possible placement for this puppy.
