This yearling is a Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog mix, one of this foster mom's favorite BC mixes! Couple the intelligence of both breeds, temper the stubborn toughness of the ACD and the intensity of the BC, then double the loyalty of both, and what a fine dog you can get! Flynn is pulling the smaller size from the ACD and the slight, athletic form of the BC. He weighs just 30 pounds and is often mistaken for a female. Flynn has the coat length and texture of the ACD and is a handsome tri with mottling in the white areas. This boy wants to be a lover. Running low on the totem pole in the foster group, he is looking for a home with a female canine companion who is not too bossy and will be kind to him. Placement with another male would require a meet and greet to ensure he will not be dominated or picked on. He might do OK as an only dog also, but in foster care we can not evaluate this as there are always so many BCs in need of our help. Flynn enjoys water and is often found cooling off in the desert heat by sitting in the kiddie pools. He walks well on leash and rode well in the truck on the back seat. A few more rides and we feel he will be an excellent traveling companion to hit the beach or local lake. This incredibly special, loving boy will make some family very lucky! | | |
