HOBIE

 |
Hobie is a yearling BC. What a looker with his split face markings and freckles. He is a rough coat and weighs about 44 pounds.
Hobie has just cleared quarantine, so check in for updates. So far, he is a lovely boy albeit a bit dominant over the lower level, younger boys. This is fairly typical of "teenage" boys of the breed. They are seeking their place and seize opportunities to move up the ladder. He is incredibly responsive to voice commands and does not challenge human authority. This guys is best friend material in the making and an excellent candidate for service/therapy work.
He is bothered by cats and a bit too interested in our fosters under 10 pounds, so no cats or small dogs. He is low to medium energy. He is capable of jumping 6' chain link. He has done so on several occasions when we have placed him where he is not comfortable. He has not taken off, just goes back to where he prefers to be. He is now kept in 5-6' no climb horse fencing and seems happy to stay there. Due to this we are seeking a home with block fencing at least 7' and where he will have a female canine companion to keep him happy and anchored OR a home with no yard if the adopter is committed to exercise him 2 times daily. He rides beautifully and walks well on leash.
Hobie is available for adoption appointments now to approved applicants.
