JAX
Jax
Jax's Story:

About 6 months ago my former roommate got a 40lb McNab Border Collie named Jax.  Jax was born in July 2014 (age 1).

His original owner had joined the military and gave him to my roommate when he left for Korea.  He didn't take care of him, and didn't exercise him enough, which led to me taking the dog and moving out.

For the first couple months I was working from home, so I could exercise him and train him daily.  He required my diligence, but he was great.  He loves to cuddle and he was generally friendly.  However two months ago I started working full time.

I've taken him to daycare during the day; but I've been unable to spend enough time training him/exercising him.  This is CRUCIAL for his breed.  As a result he's become more frustrated.  It's my fault.  He's a one-year-old . They go stir crazy when bored.

I'm 25 right now and I don't think I can continue to foster him.  It's like having a child, and I'm not available enough OR financially stable enough to keep up the work he requires.  He's an awesome dog.  He's house trained. He's smart as heck.  He's absolutely amazing at Frisbee.

He requires vigilant training, daily and mental exercise: that's the main thing.

If you are interested in meeting Jax, please contact Max at quackmaximus@gmail.com or 818-272-0957.  Max is located in Studio City.  There is a rehoming fee of $200 for Jax which will be donated back to Border Collies In Need.
