Welcome!
JOY
Joy
Joy is a 2 3/4 years old female aussieie/border collie that our family needs to find a GOOD home for.  We are homeless at the moment.  We have had Joy since she was a puppy of 8 weeks old and she grew up with my kids.  Joy is a blue merle smooth coat with stunning blue eyes, weighing in at about 38 - 40 lbs.  Joy is good with kids, sterilized, shots up to date, and her dog license is current.  A home without cats is recommended.

Joy is as fast as a bullet, loves to play ball and will answer you by barking when you ask if "she is ready".  She just LOVES playing in the water several times a day (I have a horse trough for water), knows how to sit, shake hands, high five, lay down, army crawl...(stay needs to be worked on since we became homeless).  She goes to the dog park and stays within a 12 foot area, well socialized with humans and other dogs.  Good with other dogs, "after she warms up".  She walks well on a leash...at first is excited, but after a few minutes will stay at your pace.

Joy loves nothing more than to GO with you.  She rides great in a truck/car--she sits on the seat or in the cart in the back with no problems.  Crate trained to sleep at night or will sleep in a box at night.  Slept inside (98%) most of her life.  House trained and yard trained.  Joy is well behaved in the house, and she hasn't been allowed to get on the furniture.  Joy will follow you in the house as you go about your day.  She just wants to be with you.

In Jan 09, Joy was attacked by coyotes who "tagged teamed" her, and had 22 staples to put her shoulder muscle back inside and close her up.  She has recovered completely, with no side effects.  She is very aware of her environment, watches if birds fly over her yard, and if she smells a coyote she lets you know it's out there.
