KARLEE
Karlee
KARLEE is a 1 year-old female Border Collie mix.  Karlee is a large dog, taller than the average Border Collie male, leading to speculation that she may be an English Shepherd, yet her build is slight, like a BC.  Many of the older herding breeds had common ancestry and she could be a throw back to those earlier dogs.  Karlee has that typical youthful energy and love of life.  She has attempted to be dominant and we are evaluating her with other dogs in the program to see how she will adjust.  With this in mind, opposite sex placement will be required.  She is very unhappy without canine companions and will not be placed as an “only” dog.  She is fair on leash but tends to pull and has the strength to do so.  We will be working with this in the coming days.  A home without toddlers would be best due to her size and her energy level.  She is wonderful around all people she has met and we don't feel she would purposefully hurt anyone, she is just a big girl.  Karlee loves water and can't wait to stand under the hose for a nice cooling off!  She thoroughly enjoys the kiddie pools and can often be found lounging in one during the heat of the day.  Testing her toy drive and cat compatibility is pending.  Karlee is looking for an active home that frequents the water.  She will make a fine canine companion with love and guidance.
