Kenya is a 4-year-old purebred female Border Collie, a ravishing rough-coated beauty. Kenya was too much dog for her former owner, so she was relinquished to the shelter. Thankfully, the staff recognized her compulsive high drive and called rescue. |
Kenya is about as high drive as they come. Be aware that this is not a dog for the first time BC owner and will need someone with extensive BC experience. She herds the other dogs incessantly and could be a fabulous herding prospect. Tested on sheep, she will definitely work. She will be tested in Agility soon and will probably do well.
Kenya does play with a tennis ball and knows how to use a doggie door. No shrinking violet, she holds her own with the toughest of fosters. I do not recommend her with cats due to her herding drive. She has not been evaluated with children yet.
Kenya loves to give hugs and kisses and to be brushed. She comes in the house at night and will climb in your lap when you sit down. |

She is very sweet and would make a great companion for someone who wants a working dog.
Kenya is being fostered in San Diego County.
