Laddie is a 2-year-old tri-colored Border Collie/Aussie mix. He is medium to large sized (62 lbs), a bundle of love and energy. Laddie was rescued from traffic with what was assumed to be a bad eye infection. His owners were never found and after a vet examination it was determined that Laddie had Entropian of both eyes, a very painful condition which involves the eyelids turning under, causing the eye lashes to irritate the eye balls. After surgery Laddie now has wide open eyes and is having much fun investigating everything around him. Laddie is the most wonderful companion, he loves other dogs, cats, goats and chickens. He has no herding instinct at all and craves attention and love. He loves to play ball, is housetrained and walks on a leash well.
Laddie must go to a home where there are other animals - whenever I have taken him to the vet it is wonderful to experience the utter joy he has at returning - he bounds up the steps crying for the other dogs. He must be a good personality because my two large female dogs cry for him also. Laddie is definitely best friend material and because of his gentle spirit will get on well with any animals and humans.
