MACK | |
|
Mack is an approximately 2 year old, male, tri color Border Collie, possible mix, who doesn't realize he weighs 62 pounds. He has a very playful and loveable personality and just wants to please. Mack has a lot of energy for a big boy and loves to play with other female dogs. He has his "harem" at his foster home and they all love to run and play chase with him. Mack will chase a ball and is learning to bring it back to you. He loves to play tug with the other dogs and humans. He is very gentle for his size. Mack knows basic commands, sit and come, and is a quick learner; we call that "Border Collie smart". He will also sit up on his own and, very gently, put his front paws on you, if wanted. Mack knows how to use a dog door and sleeps inside at night, without incident. He is a sweet boy but will scare off any intruders with his very "large dog" bark.
Mack will need a home with a fairly large yard and an active family who is willing to give him more training, especially on a leash, and on patience. He has not been tested with cats or young children, but neither would be recommended. Mainly because of his size and energy, he would be best in a home with teenage and older children and female dogs over 35-40 pounds.
Mack is up to date on all his vaccinations, is neutered and microchipped and ready to go to his forever home.
Mack is being fostered in East San Diego County.
