Murphy is a purebred 5 ½ month old tri-color border collie puppy. Murphy was an owner relinquishment because of his energy and activity levels. He walks well on a leash, is well socialized and gets along with other dogs, people, kids. However, he is a little too active for little ones. Murphy thoroughly enjoys his pack walks with his foster siblings. He is higher energy and requires consistent daily exercise and obedience training. Murphy is almost housebroken, but needs reminders to go outside. His foster home does not have cats so we don't know about how he is with them.
Murphy is a typical border collie pup who is going to require a home with previous herding breed experience. Although he is darling, please do not apply for Murphy unless you have the right stuff to raise this breed and understands their needs, quirks and all.
Murphy's adopters must be committed to work with the destruction and energy associated with raising a puppy, along with housebreaking accidents. As with all puppies, socialization and puppy obedience classes are a must. This will ensure that you will have an outgoing, socialized, well behaved, and well adjusted adult dog in your family.
