OB (Old Bones) |
|
Meet OB, short for Old Bones. OB is a 10 year male Border Collie who has a very sweet temperament and demeanor. It is obvious that OB was not well taken care of in his previous life, as he is missing a lot of his hair. He tested negative for demodex, so we suspect that he might have some food allergies.
OB is definitely couch potato material and has an off button. OB's one job in his foster house is to get all the love from everyone. Every morning OB goes to the dog park, and he gets to play with the tennis ball; he also gets all the love from all the people there. But, his favorite thing to do at the park is walk around getting his sniffs in, and while doing that he greets every person. OB gets along with dogs of all shape and size. Once OB settled into his foster home, with his new foster siblings, we slowly saw his personality come out. And that wasn't the only thing coming out; OB's fur is starting to fill in and his tail is also filling in nicely. It has become a nightly routine to go outside and play with his foster siblings. They chase each other in the backyard while OB tries to herd them. His favorite toy is a Kong football.
OB is potty trained and crate trained. He needs some training in walking on a leash but that will get better with time. At home OB relaxes on the couch or by the kitchen table so he can get scraps. Please give OB the furever home he deserves.
Please open your heart and home to adopting a senior. BCIN takes in more than a fair share of the senior BCs, as it is fact that adoption rates in the shelter are reduced significantly once a dog reaches 5 years of age. BCIN was OB's only hope of making it out of the shelter and we gladly welcomed him into our rescue program. OB will be adopted under our Senior Program. This means we reduce our adoption fee significantly so that he can find a loving home where he can spend the rest of his golden years.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on our website at http://www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html
