OWEN
| |
|
Owen is a male saddle patterned black tri-colored Border Collie with a beautiful rough coat. He is 4 years and 10 months old and weighs approximately 45 pounds. Owen is a very easy-going boy and loves to be cuddled and petted.
Owen gets along with, and loves to play with, other dogs. He has been in with males and females and may get a little jealous of another dog when his human is around but doesn't do anything to the other dog. Owen is more on the submissive side so he will back down if confronted by another dog. Owen has lived with cats before but will still want to chase them so he would need to be supervised for a while around them. Owen rides well in a vehicle and is great on a leash, knows how to use a dog door and knows "come", "sit" and "down". He has briefly been in with his Foster Mom's 3 year old grandson and was fine with him, however, would recommend a family with children over 8 because of his size. Owen is definitely a love puppy and would need moderate exercise a couple times a day to keep him happy. He is house trained and crate trained, remaining quiet in his crate all night. Owen also loves to chase a tennis ball for as long as someone is willing to throw it for him.
Owen is being fostered in East San Diego County.
