Meet Tanner. Tanner is a 2 year old male red merle sable Border Collie with a smooth coat. Tanner has one brown eye and the other eye is marbled (partially blue & brown). Tanner, along with Levi, were owner surrenders to BCIN.
Tanner exudes sweetness with his affectionate personality. What a lover boy he is, as he loves to be doted on, especially with tummy rubs. Tanner is such a gentle and beautiful soul. He really enjoys being with people and really wants to forge a bond with his person. He is well socialized and is submissive with other dogs. Tanner is biddable and wants to learn. Tanner has been fed only in his crate, so we do not know how he is when fed openly with other dogs. He does not resource guard his food with people in any way.
Tanner is housebroken, cat friendly with dog savvy cats, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He knows basic commands: come, sit, down, leave it, stay.
Tanner is a lower energy border collie with an off button. He will do anything that you ask of him, and will make a very loyal K-9 companion. Consistent exercise with mental stimulation is a must for herding breed owners.
