I am a dog trainer in the central coast of California. I have worked in shelter for years and headed behavior departments. I currently have a 7 year old MN ACD that needs placement. He was pulled from a hi kill shelter by a group I work with. They asked me to evaluate him and he was such a nice dog I told them I would keep him and place him myself so they could have more room to take another dog. I network with some southern California rescuers and we got him a home in southern California. That was 2 years ago when he was 5. They lost their job back in April and had to return him. He was very overweight so I have kept him this long and took almost 40 pound off him. He is ready for a home. A lot has changed for me in the last 2 years and I now travel 8 -10 days out of the month. I am committed to all my fosters for life but would really like to get this guy into another program or get him a home. He has no behavior problems, was raised with kids and loves them, is good with every dog I have put him with and my cats. He has great drive and has been started in NoseWork and Agility. He know sit, down, and shake and would know much more if I had more time. Please let me know if you might be a good fit. He is still heavy in the pic I have attached but his is a good weight now. He is fully vetted with a clean bill of heath. |
