Archie - Available for adoption from Border Collies In Need (Riverside Co, CA)
Meet Archie. Archie is approximately one year old. As far as we can tell, he is a pure-bred Border Collie. He was rescued out of a high kill shelter. He was overlooked because he was a very active dog there and had some anxiety from being at a very loud and crowded shelter.
Archie is a very sweet and loving boy. He has acclimated to home life with his foster siblings. He loves to run and play and really would require a active home with someone who can spend time with him. We think he would make a great running partner or even do well at agility if he had the training and right person.
Archie is crate trained and as far as we know is also housebroken. We do not know how he is with cats as there are no cats in his foster home. He loves kids. However, he can be quite rambunctious, so older children are preferred.
Archie is very eager to please his person. He just loves attention and will sit in your lap if you let him. He has overcome a lot of obstacles coming from being at the shelter but has really blossomed into a really nice family dog.
Archie loves his back yard, so no apartments or townhomes please. He also would not do well left alone all day. He does like to interact with his younger siblings, so another dog would be great, but not a requirement if he has an active home. Come see and meet Archie, you won’t be disappointed.

Our dogs have been sterilized, microchipped, and are up to date on their vaccinations.
