Hi I am Carson and I'm a two-year-old male BC. I'm very sweet and affectionate, and I love people. I was a stray and came to BCIN from a shelter in Central CA. I weigh 45 pounds and am what is called a split face, with a black and white smooth coat and prick ears. BCIN thinks that I am a pure BC. I know how to sit, walk decently on a leash and I've shown some interest in playing with balls. If you are looking for a running buddy, give me a shout.
It is important to tell you that I am male dog aggressive and can't be adopted to a home with other male dogs, and I can't go to dog parks. While I'm not aggressive with small children, just to be on the safe side, I shouldn't be adopted into a home with kids, because of my temperament around other male dogs. However, I do have a prey drive towards cats, so I should not be placed in a home with them either.
So to recap, here is what my perfect home would look like: An active household who will show me affection, no other male dogs, no children, and no cats.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please go on line and fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on our website at http://www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html
