CORAL | |
|
Coral is a female 2 year old female Border Collie. She is a red and white smooth coat and weighs about 35 lbs. Coral was picked up as a stray before coming into our rescue program.
Upon meeting Coral, she is sweet and submissive, but sometimes can be overwhelmed with a lot of stimulation. With a few kind words, she warms right up to you. She would like to forge a close bond with her person. Coral lacks confidence and will require an owner who is willing to invest the time in her to train her, exercise her, and give her a job to do. She is a soft dog and responds best to a soft-voiced command. She appears to know some basic obedience and walks on a leash. Coral would benefit from positive reinforcement training that would include some mental stimulation games so that she can gain confidence.
Coral is socialized with other dogs, however, she can be a bit choosy and snippy with other female dogs. She is crate-trained. A home that is quieter would best suit Coral. Her energy level appears to medium. If you understand the herding breeds and some of their challenges, then Coral would be a good choice for your lifestyle. BCIN believes that she will blossom into a wonderful dog in the right home environment.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please go on line and fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on our website at www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html
