Duncan is a nice looking traditionally marked black and white male Border Collie. Duncan is approximately 2 ½ years old, has a rough coat, and amber eyes. Duncan came into the shelter with Garth, however, we are unsure if they are related.
Duncan is sweet natured and loves to interact with people. At first we thought he was a dominant male, as he did not get along with Garth (and vice versa). Duncan has since been tested with the other dogs in our program and he was fine with them. Duncan is quite obedient and knows his basic commands. He walks well on a leash and is crate trained. It is apparent that he has had some previous basic training.
Duncan will make a fine companion as he exhibits all of the lovely traits of a BC. He does not appear to be obsessive. Duncan will continue to blossom as his training progresses under the proper guidance. He’s one heck of a nice dog. Duncan prefers a home that is semi active and one where can spend a lot of time with his person. He would be fine as an only dog, however, as with all dogs, especially BCs, it is important that he continues socializing and interacting with other dogs.
