HARRIET
Harriet
Harriet is a beautiful 2 1/2 years old female border collie.  She is a classically marked red and white BC with a semi rough coat.

Harriet, Ladybug, and Khloe were relinquished by their owner to Border Collies In Need after a good Samaritan overheard that the owner had to move into a smaller place that did not allow pets.  He was going to take them to a high kill shelter when she intervened and contacted us to see if we had room.  Harriet and Ladybug are littermates and their mother is Khloe.

Harriet's temperament is very much like her mother, Khloe.  She is an alpha female, therefore opposite gender placement is recommended.  We are working on her socialization skills outside the house and with other dogs.  She can be a bit weary upon first meeting a new dog and lets them know that she wants to be the alpha.

Harriet is crate trained and is house trained.  She walks decently on a leash and enjoys going for walks.  Harriet is fixated on cats, so a home without cats is a must.  She is an affectionate dog and enjoys human interaction.  Harriet requires activity in her life, and would enjoy a more active lifestyle.  She is typical of her breed and needs a job to do.  Harriet is a dog that would love a home that will challenge her both physically and mentally.
