Hawk is a 7 month-old male, Border Collie/Collie mix who is very playful with other dogs and gets along well with everyone he meets. He is a very happy-go-lucky boy and would do well with another dog in the family or by himself as long as someone is with him most of the day. He is housetrained, as long as he can go out when necessary, knows how to use a dog door, is learning how to walk nicely on a leash and has "sit" pretty well mastered.
Hawk is very sweet and would do well in a home where his people are willing to take him to Obedience training and work with him every day. He loves to play with squeaky toys, chases a tennis ball and loves to romp with his other foster friends. Hawk is very quiet around the house and only barks when necessary or he gets excited to see him humans. Hawk will require further training in every aspect as he is still a puppy but he is a very quick learner and is willing to please. He would be fine in a home with children over 10. Please consider making Hawk a member of your household and giving him his forever home!
Hawk's adopters must be committed to work with the destruction and energy associated with raising a puppy, along with housebreaking accidents. As with all puppies, socialization and puppy obedience classes are a must. This will ensure that you will have an outgoing, socialized, well behaved, and well adjusted adult dog in your family.
