Meet Junior. Junior is a male 2-3 year old Border Collie/ German Shepherd mix. Junior is a large male, probably weighing about 55-60 lbs. He looks like a German Shepherd but is marked like a BC. Sammy is his father. Wolfie was advocated to us by shelter personnel, saying that they had this really nice BC mix in their shelter. After bailing Junior from the shelter, BCIN was contacted by relatives, and were told that the landlord had AC come and pick up Junior and Sammy. Apparently his owner had passed away and the story is rather sad. Junior still deserving of a loving home, and BCIN is committed to helping him find it.
The best way to describe Junior is that he is a small dog trapped in a larger dog’s body. He is a gentle soul who doesn’t know the bounds of his strength. Junior is leash trained, but is quite strong on the leash. Junior would make a fabulous running or hiking partner.
Junior is very affectionate. He so wants to please and be with his human. He is still a youngster, so he plays a lot with the other dogs and self entertains with toys. This boy wants to please, so he will do well with some further obedience training. He rides well in the car. He is socialized with other dogs and enjoys their company. He is also crate trained. Junior likes children, but because of his exuberance, he can easily knock over small children, so we are recommending a home without toddlers. Junior has an easy going demeanor. He is a nice dog who would make a loyal and faithful canine companion. Please consider giving Junior his forever home.
