LAVERNE
Laverne
Laverne
UPDATE:
Laverne is a 10 month old, spayed female, smooth-coat Border Collie looking for her forever home. She gets along well with other dogs, she will test them a little first, but after that she just wants to play. She is housebroken, knows how to use a doggie door, has had 6 weeks of beginner training and 6 weeks of intermediate. Laverne comes when called, sits, walks well on a leash, is good with cats, although, she might chase them for fun but won't harm them. Laverne would do well in a family atmosphere with children over 8 only because she is taller than the average Border Collie. She is very sweet and gentle with people and just loves everyone she meets. Laverne will most likely need some more formal obedience training to help with her desire to jump on people, although she is very gentle about it. Won't you please consider adopting Laverne and giving her forever home and family!

Hello!  My name is Laverne.  I am a 6-month-old female smooth coat Border Collie who is looking for a forever home.  I am great with other dogs and children and love to play with squeaky toys, and I also like to play in our kiddie pool.  I like to be active and run around and play until I get tired and flop down for a nap.  Then I like to have my tummy rubbed and will stay there as long as someone is rubbing.  I know how to use a doggie door and will go out to go potty.  My foster Mom is working with me on the leash and some basic commands and I am doing pretty good, at least that's what she tells me.  I will talk to you sometimes, although not as much as my "Chatty Kathy" sister, Shirley.  We carry on conversations with each other all the time.  Good thing humans can't understand dog-talk!

I hope I have convinced you to check me out and consider me as a member of your family.  I am being fostered in East San Diego County.

Adopters must be committed to working with the destruction and energy associated with raising a puppy, along with housebreaking accidents.  As with all puppies, socialization and puppy obedience classes are a must.  This will ensure that you will have an outgoing, socialized, well-behaved, and well-adjusted adult dog in your family.  Laverne's adopters will be required to complete a puppy questionnaire, as well as complete her series of puppy vaccinations, including rabies.  In addition to her adoption fee, a refundable deposit is required to secure his sterilization, in accordance with state law.
