OPAL | |
|
Opal is an adorable 18-24 month-old female black and white Border Collie. She has a bald (all white) face and cute mottling. Opal is on the smaller side, weighing in at about 35 pounds, and she has a lovely smooth coat. Opal was picked up as a stray and bailed from a high-kill shelter.
Opal is very sweet and affectionate. She loves tummy rubs and is looking for a person to call her very own. She is learning to socialize with the other foster dogs in our program. Typical of a dog her age, she will need an semi-active home, as we rate her energy level as medium. Opal has not been evaluated with children or cats.
Opal would rather play than learn her lessons, and as with all dogs, we recommend obedience training for optimal integration into your family. She should settle down as she matures. She is learning not to jump on humans. Opal rides well in a crate, and walks decently on leash.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please go on line and fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on our website at http://www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html
