Meet Oreo. Oreo is a 1 1/2 - 2 year old male traditionally marked Border Collie. Oreo is not a cadidate for the first time herding breed ower. Oreo is very energetic and athletic. He will need a home that understands the physical and mental stimualtion demands of a Border Collie. He does have an off button. Oreo is typical of his breed as he is handsome, smart, loyal and atheltic. Oreo might be a good prospect for canine sports.
Oreo really needs a job to do. He is active and will pace the perimeter of a backyard if not channeled properly with mental stimulation. This is a dog that would be most unhappy just being a backyard dog watching life go by. He will also need more than a 45 minute daily walk. Oreo is very sweet and affectionate. He is socialized with other dogs, but he can be choosy with which male dogs he likes. Oreo plays rough and hard, and his best play pal is Henry. They really enjoy romping around with one another. We are recommending that he be placed in a home without any male dogs.
Oreo appears to be be housebroken. He has not been evaluated with children or cats. Oreo is biddable and wants to learn. He enjoys being around people, and wants to forge a bond with you.
