Sheela is a 10 years old smooth coated Border Collie, Black & White with black freckles. We adopted Sheela from Animal Samaritan’s at approximately 11 mos. old. They had her on the local TV station and when I saw her face I had to run down and bring her home. I had to have that face. She had the run of 2 acres for 8 years with a Lab we also adopted until illness and age forced us to sell our property and move into an RV full time in a Park. She is now limited to the RV and a 8X12 pen they permitted us to put directly behind RV. This has been a very difficult decision.

Sheela really is an indoor member of family - she is house trained, crate happy, also when visiting others homes. She doesn’t like cats, she would be better with a family as the only dog (she doesn’t seem to care for other dogs) but contact has been limited other than the Lab we had. If the adopter could do obedience classes that would be wonderful. She demands affection constantly. She wants to be petted and rubbed without tiring of it. She loves riding in the car, also long trips & camping. But we’ve never let her off lead on trips.

Sheela had some health issues about 5 years ago with Ehrlichiosis but the Vet pulled her through. She also had an eye hemorrhage but the vet saved her eye & she is able to see fine. She will require cyclosporine drops 2 times daily for life. We’re happy to provide an extra months medication besides what we have on hand. The medication runs $50 and lasts between 5 to 6 wks.

She eats well, is active (loves her walks). She hasn’t received formal training but will sit with hand signal. She doesn’t know what fetch means. She needs people or a person she can sit at their feet andadore them all day long. ALL she wants is love. She’s never bitten or nipped anyone at this point. She will bark for good reason only. She does well with behaved children 6years plus. We’ve not had opportunity to evaluate her with younger children.

We really need to find a loving home for her and be directly adopted by someone who falls in love with her. We have her vet records and current shots. We are willing to transport up to 2 1/2 hours from Palm Springs.
