TERRACOTTA
Terra
Terra is an easy going 8-10 year-old female purebred curly-coated red merle border collie.  She was relinquished to a high kill shelter because her owner said that she had cancer and was moving.  Terra came into rescue with patches of paint all over her coat.  Terra was taken to our vet where she had blood work done and a dental.  The results of her tests revealed that she is in good health and is cancer free.  Best we can figure is that there was a large wart on her head about the size of a dime that has been subsequently removed.

Terra is a quiet girl and is classified as a non-dog.  She is not a barker and is not destructive.  Don't let her age fool you as she has plenty of get up and go.  She does like to play and will romp with the with younger dogs at her foster home.  Terra is a bit of a water baby and really comes to life when you bring out the hose to water.

Terra has probably been a one person dog her whole life and would love nothing better than to be your new canine best friend.  She is crate trained and has nice house manners.  Cats or other small animals do not seem to bother her.  Terra still has alot of love to give and to offer.

Please open your heart and home to adopting a senior.  BCIN takes in more than a fair share of the senior BCs, as it is fact that adoption rates in the shelter are reduced significantly once a dog reaches 5 years of age.  BCIN was Terra's only hope of making it out of the shelter and we gladly welcomed her into our rescue program.  Terra will be adopted under our senior dog program, so please ask us for details.
