ASH
Meet Ash. Ash is a female 2 year old traditionally marked black and white semi rough coated Border Collie. She weighs about 35 lbs. with one blue and one brown eye. Ash came into our rescue program with her sibling Pat. They will be adopted separately, due to sibling posturing that has already started with one another.
Ash's temperament is sweet and loving. She seeks attention and will politely offer her paw to get it. No negative behavioral issues have been noticed, except she is learning not to jump up on you. She is eager to please and is treat motivated. This is a dog that will do anything that you ask of her with clear, concise, and consistent training. She is an active dog and she could be a potential candidate for canine sports. She is fast, loves to play, and gets along well with other dogs. However, Ash does have an "off button" and will settle down. Ash knows how to walk on a leash, knows basic obedience commands, and is housebroken. Due to her high prey drive, Ash would not be well suited with a home with cats. Although she is as sweet as she can be, her exuberance will be too much for children under the age of 10.
If you are interested in meeting Pat, please fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. Our dogs have been sterilized, microchipped, and are up to date on their vaccinations. The electronic application can be found on our website at www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html
