WILBUR
Wilbur
Wilbur is a happy-go-lucky 8 months old male border collie mix.  He is most likely mixed with Lab. Wilbur is black and white with a shiny smooth coat.  He came into our rescue by a stroke of luck.  BCIN was meeting a transport near a high kill shelter and we had some time before transport arrival.  There was Wilbur looking forlorn and sad. It was even sadder when we learned that day was to be his euthanization date.  How could we resist those soulful eyes?

Wilbur is quite amusing to be around.  He needs some leash work as he tends to want to walk between your legs and looks for constant approval from his foster mom.  Wilbur has not been taught any manners, so a puppy obedience course is in his near future.  Typical of youngsters, he would rather play than learn his lessons.

Wilbur is very much a people pup and you will fall in love with the "pick me up and love me now" look in his eyes.  He is full of love and very, very cute.  He plays well with others and when you pick him up he cannot turn off his "licker"!  His foster mom is working on crate training, as he protests by whining and squealing kind of like a pig, hence, his name, Wilbur.

Adopters must be committed to working with the destruction and energy associated with raising a puppy, along with housebreaking accidents.  As with all puppies, socialization and puppy obedience classes are a must.  This will ensure that you will have an outgoing, socialized, well-behaved, and well-adjusted adult dog in your family.
